What to do with an extra maglight... And some dollars.... And some time and tools.

I rode my first "night ride" at the Midwest mountain bike festival. WOW! All I can say is "Try it"

Homebrew Headlight

Here is what the light started as. It had batteries leak inside of it, so I wanted to do something besides toss it in the trash.

After some machining at Sergison Machine.

The mount I bought online to fit the light on the handlebar. (about $6 each)

With the mount that Sergi made to attach the light to the plastic quick release.

Still has the on/off button!

Batteries in a water bottle, 4 "C" cells are in there. I will up the cells to 6 soon, and play with battery quantity to increase the run time of the light.

On the Barracuda. Perfect for puttering around the neighborhood.

Not much left but to ride.... But I have an idea to make it more trail worthy. More on that as I do more to the system.
